  • Helpful and welcoming staff — Reception team noted for being extremely nice, offering early check-in, luggage storage, and restaurant tips without fuss.
  • Good-value breakfast — Guests describe the breakfast as varied and fairly priced, with muesli, yogurt, fruit, eggs, and more, making it a solid start to the day.
  • Practical amenities for a city stay — Free Wi-Fi in public areas, private on-site parking, and a 24-hour reception add convenience for both road-trippers and late arrivals.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Dated interiors in some rooms — A few guests found the rooms tired and dingy, with carpet stains in hallways and basic furnishings, though cleanliness wasn't an issue.
  • No on-site private parking — Despite the listing mentioning parking, guests had to use a neighboring hotel's parking for €20 per day, and availability may be limited.
  • Street noise in hot weather — Rooms without air conditioning require open windows in summer, letting in traffic noise from the busy Sokolska street, especially on higher floors.
  • Inconsistent guest satisfaction — While many praise the hotel, some guests have had mixed experiences, with one finding it less appealing than a nearby hostel, and another noting only one helpful staff member.

“Great value for the price, friendly welcome at the desk, and the room was simple but spotless with the windows open. The location is central, close to the old town.”

“Pleasant building and rooms, with all the windows open for fresh air.”

“I had planned to stay most of the week, but after one night I moved to the more pleasant and beautifully appointed Mosaic Hostel, which is also a fully featured hotel.”

“Good breakfast, nice room, helpful staff, short walk to the metro, and excellent value for money.”

“Rooms were okay—maybe a 6 or 7 out of 10. Clean enough, but dated and a bit dingy. Carpet stains in the hallway weren't reassuring, and my wife wasn't thrilled with the choice. Breakfast was nice, a bit better than the average European spread, which made up for the room. Location was convenient next to the metro, but on a busy street; in August it was hot, so we had to open the windows, letting in traffic noise from the fifth floor. Would be fine in cooler weather with the windows shut. Good restaurants a couple hundred meters away.”

8.1Verified guest

“Staff were extremely nice, great location (5 minutes' walk to Wenceslas Square), and the room was clean and spacious. We overslept check-out and they didn't charge extra, still friendly. Good for groups that don't need luxury. Only flaw: no private parking of their own, so we used the neighboring hotel's lot at €20 per day.”
